Why Me?

Low mood and/or depression can occur for a number of reasons.

It can be a result of running on fumes. This can be situational, when the demands of various aspects of life require more energy than you have.

Managing external and internal stressors (financial stress, difficult relationships, external or internal pressure put on yourself). These can wear away at your resources to feel good, light, happy and motivated.

Low mood can be a result of a physical condition. Such as a change in hormones, nutrition, chemical imbalance, or other medical reasons

We also know that low mood or depression can be a  combination of situational factors as well as medical reasons.

It can feel overwhelming to iron this out on your own.

Therapy can be a part of your care plan.

You deserve to be cared for.

What to expect

We’ll need to get a better understanding of what aspects may be contributing to how you are feeling.

  1. Make an appointment with your healthcare practitioner. Please let them know you may be struggling with low mood.
  2. Your health care provider may complete an assessment for mood.
  3. In some some circumstances your health care provider may recommend a low dose of medication if there are physical conditions contributing to how you are feeling. Medication is always your choice, so if it is recommended, please let your health care practitioner know how you feel. This is simply a respectful conversation between two adults.

  4.  Book an appointment to begin therapy. In person appointments and virtual appointments are both great options.

Therapy will be similar to designing a key specifically for you.

There is a long list of ideas to help improve mood and for people to feel better. Everyone has a different combination that works best for them. Therapy can help  you design a combination of strategies which is tailored to your needs.

Please  schedule a free consultation to answer any questions you might have before you begin with your therapy journey.
